Activating Your License
The first time you open the React JSX Visualizer icon in the Activity Bar, you'll see a screen asking for your license key.
- Paste the license key you received after purchase.
- Click Activate License.
- Once verified, the sidebar switches to the main view and Open Preview becomes available on any React/JSX file.
Your license key and plan are managed on My Account page on thenomadstack.com.
Already using the free trial? No activation is needed — the extension works immediately on install. See Free Trial below.
Free Trial
Every new installation includes a 3-day free trial with full access to every feature, no license key required.
- The Account tab shows "Trial ends on \<date\>" while the trial is active.
- Once the trial ends, the sidebar shows "Trial expired • Buy license" — click it to open the purchase page.
- Activating a purchased license at any time (during or after the trial) switches you to your paid plan immediately.
Do I need to be online all the time?
No. Once activated, the extension checks in with the license server only occasionally — not every time you open VS Code. Between checks, and even if you're completely offline, the extension works normally using your last confirmed license. You only need internet for the initial activation and for those periodic background checks.
What if my license expires?
You'll see a reminder in the Account tab once your plan is within 30 days of ending, with a link to renew. If a plan fully expires, you'll be asked to reactivate or renew before continuing — see Free Trial above if you'd rather explore first.
Moving to a new computer
- On your old computer, open the sidebar Account tab → Deactivate License.
- Confirm the deactivation.
- Install the extension on your new computer and activate it there with the same key.
One license is tied to one device at a time — deactivate on the old device before activating on a new one.
